Hotel Condestable is situated five minutes walking distance from Plaça Catalunya, the most important square of the city, and from Passeig de Gràcia, a long avenue where there are two Gaudi's buildings: Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.
La pedrera is a masterpiece from Gaudi, built between 1905 and 1910 as a combined apartment and office block. It is known as La Pedrera (the quarry) because its uneven grey stone façade.
